How To Bid

Every two weeks we publish a list of available properties.  You can read this:

• On the Choice Based Lettings Website;
• At any of our offices;
• At Oxfordshire County Council Social and Health Care offices;
• At Connexions;
• At Doctors' Surgeries and
• At Libraries.

The list is published on Wednesday morning.

You have until midnight on the Monday 13 days later to place a bid if you are sending in a bidding coupon or bidding in person at our offices. This deadline enables us to have all such bids checked and placed onto the system by 5 o’clock (when the offices shut). Internet bids and phone bids are able to be placed right up until Midnight on the Monday as these bids are placed directly onto the system by applicants and do not require any intervention by the Council.

You can bid by:

• Using this website;
• Visiting our offices, staff will help you if you need it, and will give you a receipt to prove you have made a bid;
• Using a postal bidding coupon (available from our offices) or
• Telephoning the bidding line on 0800 027 7889.

You can only bid for :

• A maximum of three rented properties and any number of Shared Ownership properties in each bidding cycle and
• Properties for which you are eligible.

If you change your mind, you can withdraw your bid and place a bid for a different property. You will only be offered one property at a time.
